Lucky Fox Was There

This St. Patrick’s Day we feel pretty lucky here at Fox. 🍀 We are lucky to be able to offer our customers a Home Protection Plan 🐜 as well as Termite Services to protect their homes and make their lives more enjoyable. But we believe that our service goes beyond that.

Around the Fox offices you will often hear the phrase, “What else?” as we seek ways to offer our customers more. The Fox Family looks to find meaningful opportunities in everyday life.

One of our sales representatives took this concept to heart recently as he was out one ordinary day. Stephen Checketts came upon a home where he noticed a man lying in the driveway. He felt something was off, and decided to approach the man. He noticed there was a significant amount of blood and the man was unresponsive. He was eventually able to awaken the man, who he learned was named Todd. But Todd continuously refused the offer to get medical attention.

After helping Todd up, bandaging him up, and letting his dog out for him, Todd assured Stephen that he was fine. Stephen reluctantly left and went on with his route. But something didn’t feel right, and Stephen decided to do something else.

He returned to Todd’s home, but when he repeated his offer to get medical help he was refused again. So Stephen did something else, he consulted the neighbor. Together they were able to arrange medical attention for Todd.

A few days later Todd reached out to Stephen and let him know that the doctors had told him that if he had not gotten medical attention he likely would have died. He had suffered a broken back, neck, and crushed trachea. It was not until then that it was discovered that Todd was already a Fox customer.

We feel lucky to have Stephen Checketts, and to still have Todd as part of our Fox Family. Thank you Stephen, for finding excellence in the ordinary, and for answering the question, “What else?”

We hope you all have a fun St. Patrick’s Day, especially our friends in Connecticut, where we helped sponsor the New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade this year, one of the oldest and most popular St. Patrick’s Day events in our nation.

Thomas Jefferson said it well when he said, “I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.”
